What is TheGreeksLenz?

TheGreeksLenz is a set of focused dashboards that turn option Greeks into plain-English, trade-ready numbers. Each lens isolates one risk factor so you can see how your position behaves before the market moves.

The gas pedal metaphor

Think of an option position like a car on a highway.

Delta — speed and direction

Delta tells you how fast your position gains or loses value as the stock moves. A delta of 0.50 is like driving 50 mph forward; a negative delta is driving in reverse.

Gamma — the gas pedal

Gamma tells you how quickly that speed can change. High gamma means a tiny tap on the pedal sends you accelerating fast; low gamma means the ride stays steady.

The other Greeks are the rest of the driving conditions. Theta is the fuel gauge counting down to empty. Vega is how sensitive you are to a sudden weather change in volatility. Rho is the headwind or tailwind from interest rates, especially on long LEAPs.

What each tab does

A few things to remember

  • These calculators use simplified, closed-form estimates. They do not replace a full pricing model or your broker's platform.
  • Inputs like delta, gamma, theta, vega, and rho are usually read straight from your option chain. The dashboards just scale them to position size and explain the story.
  • Shared fields — Ticker, Stock Price, DTE, and Theta — sync across tabs so you can move from one lens to another without retyping the basics.
